What is Reggae LP Archives?
An archive website dedicated to reggae—Jamaican and beyond—designed to catalog the artists, labels, and riddims that shaped this music. It pays particular attention to the roots, ska, and rocksteady eras, while also covering post-Sleng Teng reggae up to the present day.
How does it work?
The site is organized around three key elements:

The artist — the singer or the group

The label — the record company that produced or distributed the album

The riddim — the musical foundation (usually bass and drums) on which several tracks or their Dub and instrumental versions are recorded, often by different artists
Knowing the riddim means understanding the logic of Jamaican reggae.
